Homeroom began in 2001 with a grant from The Madison Community Foundation and the tireless efforts of many active parents. There is no formal governing board specifically for HomeRoom, but ParentShare is our directing organization and any volunteer who wishes to have further input is welcome to attend meetings and help make overall decisions. Being completely volunteer driven, HomeRoom undergoes small changes regularly but the vision remains the same- An environment for parents and children to closely interact and a chance to meet other parents and children who are active in the community.

While HomeRoom users are mainly Stay at Home Mom's, we have have plenty of grandparents, Stay at home Dads, and childcare providers that utilize the facilities who all are all completely welcome. The only requirement is an interest in nurturing the development of the Children in your care.
